DEAD KENNEDYS, MISSION OF BURMA AND MORE


Harmonix and MTV Games announced today a monster line up of tracks including three 3-packs that will be added to the Rock Band® Music Store catalog of downloadable content next week.


Next week’s collection includes a 3-pack from hardcore punk band Dead Kennedys featuring “California Uber Alles,” “Holiday in Cambodia” and “Police Truck” from the band’s 1987 album Give Me Convenience or Give Me Death.


The offering also features a 3-pack from Boston based post punk band Mission of Burma, which includes “Mica” and “That’s How I Escaped My Certain Fate” from the band’s album Vs. and  “That’s When I Reach For My Revolver” from the band’s debut album Signals, Calls, and Marches.


Next week Harmonix offers up sounds of metal with a Century Media Girls of Metal 3-pack that includes tracks from gothic metal band Lacuna Coil and features the songs “Closer,” and “Swamped”. The 3-pack also includes the 2008 single,” Forever,” from metal band In This Moment.


In addition to the 3-packs, Crooked X is offering up its hit single “Gone” for Rock Band fans to enjoy. The band’s songs “Nightmare” and “Rock ‘n’ Roll Dream” are already featured in the Rock Band music catalog.


Each track will be available starting November 18, 2008, for the Xbox®360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and November 20, 2008, for PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainmentsystem. Each individual track will be available for $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360.) The Crooked X track “Gone” will be available for $.99 (80 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) The 3-packs will be available for $5.49 (440 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) each.
