Harmonix & MTV Games Team with Ray-Ban to Bring Acclaimed Music Video Game Rock Band to Sundance Film Festival

Rock Band is coming to the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah for a week of fun, music and virtual rock mayhem. Sundance attendees can live out their ultimate rock star fantasies with ROCK BAND™ on the main stage of favorite local spot Harry-O’s Monkey Bar, which will be transformed into the Ray-Ban Rock Band Bar.
Rock Band has teamed with iconic sunglass brand Ray-Ban to create the event, which will run through Sundance week with a different artist performing each day. The series will kick off on Thursday, January 17th when local band The Future of the Ghost opens for our GARAGE ROCK NIGHT. On Friday, January 18th the New York-based SUPER DJ trio, The MisShapes will perform. On Saturday, January 19th our PUNK IS DEAD party themed party will include a performance by local punk band Negative Charge and a giveaway of 25 signed copies of the newly released book Punk is Dead. On Sunday, Rock Band takes center stage and turns the space into one big karaoke party. Up-and-comer George Sanford will perform to close the Ray-Ban RockBand Bar music series on Monday, January 21st. These events all kick off at Harry O’s Monkey Bar at 7pm and run clear to 2am.
From 2-5pm each day, the Ray-Ban Rock Band Bar will host a series of favorite music films including “Easy Rider,” “the Blues Brothers:” and “Reservoir Dogs.”
