Greetings!
I have just returned from my generous soul
searching sabbatical to the Tibetan Himalayas. Harmonix is the kind of
company where basically anything goes, so right after posting my last
entry (wayback on april 20th) I martched right up to Alex's office and
told him that I needed to do a little soul searchin' in the far east.
Away I went.
Now I am back. My flight got in early this
morning and I am feeling totally refreshed with a bevy of top shelf
ideas for the game. I really think more game studios should allow for
soul searching sabbaticals. If you ever start up a company of your own,
make it bullet item #4 on your corporate strategy white board.
I figured I would celebrate my return by sharing some of the photos that I took while I was away.
so here it is. pretty nice place all in all. I could even see myself moving there one day. Allow me to share some of my more intimite thoughts on the culture of tibet : Tibet tours are more than just a hike outside. The travel to Tibet is
an inner journey with seeing and understanding the culture and the life
of the people. One can see the great Tibet plateau. In Tibet treks are
the way to get across the rugged countryside. In Tibet trips are
organized to many a Tibetan monastery. Tibetan Buddhism provides soul
food for the travelers who come from far-off places to find peace in
this land.
As the people in tibet would say... AMEN!
