The Story
Yes, it took a band of mere teenagers to create one of the toughest songs ever to appear in Rock Band. So if you really want to feel humiliated, just remember that those parts you keep failing on were played in real life by a band whose ages ranged from 14 to 19. In fact, guitarist Gabriel Garcia shredded his first shreds at the tender age of eight.
Black Tide was formed in Miami by four teens who loved vintage '80s hard rock, especially Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Metallica, along with modern metal. “Warriors of Time” was the second of three successful singles released from their debut album.
When a British hockey team, the Whitley Warriors, discovered that their name was sort-of in the song title, they adopted it as their entrance music.
Trivia
Bassist Zakk Sander uses Van Halen’s “Hot For Teacher” as his cellphone ring-back.
Gameplay Hints
Our crack team of playtesters has officially pronounced this one of the hardest songs in Rock Band history. The drum part is full of double-kick, the bass jumps all over the place, and the guitar solo is absolutely not for the faint-hearted. Even our seasoned playtesters have just two words to offer: Good Luck!
Where Are They Now?
With some of its members approaching legal drinking age, Black Tide played the Warped Tour in the summer of 2009.
