    I've been driving in this city for ten years, and I'm very good at it. I can get to Logan from Dedham in 27 minutes. I can find any address on any one-way street in Dorchester and not get shot. I can slip through Fenway on game day like quicksilver and I parallel park on the first try. I don't need lane markings, I can smell potholes before they're visible. I assess other drivers instantaneously. I know what you're going to do before you do. I'm dissappointed the big dig is done because now the roads don't change every day. I'm not interested in beating you to the next light (though I almost certainly will), I'm like a lens made of ice, focused on my destination. It's not a race, it's not personal, it's me against the insanity of this cities roads and you are just another predictable obstacle, moving so slowly you may as well be parked, while I carve my home with the grace and confidence of an Olympic fencer. I'm a Boston driver.
