Okay, back in business. The Rock Band game I was playing (and with all my awesome vocals records on it) belonged to my roommate, and he moved out. BAND BREAK UP!

But now I have Rock Band 2, so I'm back on target. Now it's not letting me link up my account here! Bummer! Sent an e-mail to support, and I hope we'll get it all fixed.

Here it is, February already!

Since my last blog, I've beaten Medium and Hard on vocals. Also, Taking flight went gold and then platinum, again on Hard. Now we have our pretty gold logos to impress everyone with during online world quickplay. Also, I'm in the 180's out of God knows how many vocalists as of this blogging. Yep, I really am one of the best!

I've also acquired most of the game's wardrobe, and customized a few of the looks. People may have seen my Willy Wonka look, my Blues Brothers look, my "death" look, my Captain Jack Sparrow look, my "anime" look, or my professional wrestler look... The many faces of Hunter are fun and easy to create, and I'd love to see more people putting time into decking out their characters like I have.

Also, Syrus wanted me to remind people that you can't be lead guitarist all the time. Share the responsibilities of bass, folks. It creates less band drama and as far as Taking Flight goes, means more time with professionals like Syrus and myself.

What's next for Hunter Gryphon and Taking Flight? I'll be brushing up on Expert mode so that I'll be ready for the Endless Setlist on Expert. I know that I need to work more on the "bonus" songs, since those hardly ever come up.

What about downloaded songs? You people out there need to download more songs! It gives us all more variety, not to mention gives me more practice on those tunes.

Hello my fellow rockers!

Just wanted to write a quick note on what it feels like to be a vocalist in Rock Band...

As it says on my profile, I got the part by default. I was at work when my roommates got Rock Band, and when I got home, vocals was the only position open.

Vocals suits me, though. I'm a customer service representative, so I use my voice all the time at work. I've also been a "kinda allright" singer all my life, so while it's not the prettiest voice in the world, I can carry a tune.

Some people might think it's funny, but I take my singing with Taking Flight and any other Rock Band band I'm in very seriously. I bought a book on singing better and I'm always flexing the muscles in my throat and mouth and practice here and there when I can. I don't have delusions of grandeur; I'm no Americal Idol, after all! But a video game is a video game, and I want to out-perform as many people as I can no matter what! That's why you'll be hard pressed to find a more devoted singer than me.

Taking Flight is the band that my roommate Syrus and I started. The original apartment band was The Holy Howlers, but that was on the Xbox (RIP), and now we're all on the PS3. I think Taking Flight is unique among Rock Band bands because we have a positive message for everyone, and that is you can achieve whatever you want as long as you are willing to strive for it.

I wanted to also give a shout out to Smoke and Water, a guitarist and drummer we played with somewhere out there in Internet land. You guys were awesome and we'd rock with you anytime!
