Hey, this is my first blog for Rock Band! And well deserved I must say! Anyways here goes.

So recently I got to take part in something very special and dear to me and it just really got me excited (especially for this game)!

About a month or so ago, Rock Band's myspace went live and  while the overall design wasn't too bad it just felt like it lacked the punch that Rock Band deserved. So without even thinking about it I set off to create a Rock Band myspace of my own to see what I could come up with if I were to design it. I took most of the assets from this site and from rockband.com and slapped it all into a myspace. The more I worked on it, the more fun I had and so I decided to create a few assets of my own (which got the shaft in the final design but I still got props lol ). I finally completed it and took a step back and thought, "Hey, this isn't half bad..." and decided to let the guys at Harmonix and their myspace see what I had done. I rather meekly suggested that they could use the code if they liked it to spice up the current profile they had. I REALLY didn't think anything would come of it except maybe a, "oh that's cool dude. Nice work." and that would be it. But holy crap imagine my reaction when they wrote back the next day saying it kicked ass and would love to put the code on their page!!!

I definitely peed myself...

So I send them the code and later on that night I check their page and there it is, staring back at me! The profile I created on Rock Band's official myspace! Pure excitement rushed over me. What an awesome feeling. Having someone that you respect and admire so much take something that you made, say it's awesome, and use it for their own stuff!

 So not only that but they also gave me props in their blog section showing off the axed designs that I made lol! Needless to say, I was very stoked. So THEN I'm checking out the Rock Band profile last weekend and what do I see? A new blog entitled "Mobhit Us." My heart skipped a beat as I clicked the link and waited for the page to load.

 So yeah, I guess the meaning of writing this blog is just to say how freaking cool Harmonix and the gang is to have done this. Taken a fan created "something" and used it for everyone else to see. It's just a really cool feeling to like being a part of this (granted and extremely EXTREMELY small part, but a part nonetheless) awesome project! You guys rock!

Now if only we knew the release date.... then I could make a countdown!!!!
