So does "Dr. Funke's 100 Percent Natural Good-Time Family Band Solution" fit into the RB2 band name box?

Hihi! Steven here.

Ishehishi just finished our first tour and we're now on a temporary break. We mostly played gigs in NY, LA, whatever the acronym for Seattle is, and maybe a song or 2 in Boston. Once we re-form we'll be heading back to LA to secure our own private jet.

Morgan continues to annoy us all but I think he's still in the band. I guess we'll all know once our next tour starts.

The Gregg spent $200 on a new hair cut yesterday... I could have used that money to buy skittles :(

So what? like, 5 months til Rock Band hits the shelves? *sigh* I'm feeling a mix between wanting it now and wanting it to be best it possibly can. Surely there's a nice medium, lol.

So if you read what im currently listening to and are up to date with GH news then you'll know that there has been a song announcment for GH3 and now even some videos released of a preview build.

All this GH goodness has got me craving some RockBand info. This is easily my most anticipated game of the year and when it comes out I'll finally have a reason to buy a next gen console.

So i spose until some pics, or videos get released I'll have to continue going to bed at night and laying awake thinking of the limitless possibilities... *sigh*

And now to continue what would have been my first blog were
it not for me having to go listen to Year Zero

Chapter 1: My initial thoughts on Rock Band

I first heard about Rock Band though n4g.com, immediately
read up as much as possible as fast as possible. My only thoughts while doing
so went a little something like this. "NOOOOO, I want my Guitar Hero 3!!! I
don't wanna sing!!!"

Chapter 2: Or Do I?

So there I was franticly reading, wondering how they could
do this to me when it suddenly hit me... "Wait, this is Harmonix... they're working
with MTV... Although I don't always agree with MTV there's no doubting that this
new found partnership can only greatly improve things... They have access to
originally recordings Guitar Hero series already rocks... This is going to be
Guitar Hero except 4 times better... I'm gonna have my own little drum set... This
is gonna be THE BEST GAME EVER!"

Chapter 3: Rockbandgame.com

The site starts up, I figure I'll check it out. I sign up
and to my surprise I have my own user page that closely resembles yet is
legally distinguishable from MySpace. I soon discover that it's not only fans
posting in the forums and blogging on their pages but also the game staff. Now
I'm not sure how much this has been done, if at all, but it's new to me and I'm
loving it. Being able to view the blogs of game developers over the coming
months is going to be awesome.

Chapter 4: Estimated Prices/Release Date

And then I read on Gamespot that Gamestop (hey, that's kinda
confusing) has announced some prices and a release date for Rock Band. I see
that the release is about 7 months away and wonder how they can have any idea
how much it will cost. Well, they don't, but these ESTIMATED figures have
caused fellow forum goers to go crazy announcing Rock Band as the 'most
expensive game ever ' and saying no matter how good the game is people just wont
pay that much, Harmonix and EA are making a big mistake.

What most of these people fail to recognise is that no one
needs to buy the game and every single controller available, in fact I doubt
many will. If you just buy the game and a guitar you'll be set for a few weeks
at least. Save up a bit more cash and buy yourself a drum set. By now some of
your friends should be into the game as well, see if they can get mic for theirs,
then swap them the guitar for it when your wanting a change. Make your room
mate buy another guitar, or your brother, or your wife/husband/bf/gf/mom/dad.
Everyone can play!! Oh, and also remember those prices aren't final, and there's
definitely a chance there will be bundles.

Chapter 5: Samurai vs Unicorn

Not much more info has been released, for info on why
check out [link="http://www.rockbandgame.com/index.php?do=/public/blog/view/id_40/"]Mattmose's
blog entry[/link]. But hey, there is still 7 months-ish until release,
where's the fun in telling us everything now? I'm content with sitting back
taking this as it comes and knowing that in the not to distant future I'm gonna
be rockin' out online with my band to what I can safely bet will be an awesome
variety of music numbers.

So this is the RockBand website... It's apparently not an April fools joke (take that all you non believers!)

I'm liking it. It has a lot of potential... although right now it's a little buggy but I assume that's going to improve in the near future.

Umm, I'm gonna cut this blog short and continue it another day, Year Zero just got released onto the official NIN site, so I'm gonna go enjoy that.
