Greetings mere mortals! All of us advanced beings at the far end of the time-space continuum were much impressed by your futuristic entries in our Star Trek avatar contest.

Since I've seen the future and hang out there all the time, I can only guess that some of you have been out here yourselves. There were loads of great entries, but cannibalbob's character Squidman had that perfect mix of characterization and visionary quality. In fact, I can swear he looks just like a guy I went to high school with!

Cannibalbob will receive a far out prize pack including: a Rock Band bandmate, an Ion Drum Kit, a Fender Bass, a Stage Kit, a Rock Band Fender guitar with Star Trek guitar cap & $500 worth of DLC!

well I cant say I my not glad that I won... I never won anything before. I don't think squidman was my best character but I'm not complaining ! :) Well anyway thanks everyone for your congrats and criticisms and thanks harmonix for the awesome prizes ( I'm gonna throw a Rock Band party with my stage kit!)

If anyone congratulating the winner of this contest truly wants to know how the rest of the community feels, especially the members who spent substantial time and effort into making their avatars truly unique complete with full bands, multiple poses/facial expressions and a variety of backgrounds, I suggest you visit the forum and read the threads. I abstain from congratulating the winner in this contest based on the submissions I viewed in the gallery by many other entrants (excluding my own). That is probably one of the worst submissions out of the hundreds of avatars I viewed. Harmonix has lost a wealth of respect from the community, based on the forum and online gamer discussion threads. It's actually a shame.
