Where Everybody Knows your Name

he move was only about a block from the old space but we essentially doubled the size of our offices. This is awesome for a number of reasons: 1. We have a LOT more space and people can spread out. 2. The HVAC system workss in "zones" so we can make it warmer one place and colder in another! Perhaps your office or home does not require this new fangled technology but our old space had a building wide control system, which was not always ideal. Just ask QA. 3. There is a ramp so you can go from one end of the office to the other (almost, the QA Pit has some pesky stairs) on a scooter or skateboard. 4. The library has its own room with a couch connected to a kitchen. Hello awesome place to hang out! There were a few downsides to the move: 1. Our walls are white. Eventually we'll paint but we didn't really have time to do so before we moved in. The old office walls were blue, green, purple, red, and yellow. 2. We lost a few things: * DanT's (spraynwipe) Pikmin went missing. Here's his lost stuff newsgroup post "If you see about thirty or so small Pikmin around somewhere, let me know. I stopped playing Pikmin because I couldn't handle losing them at the end of each day, and now it's happening all over again in real life..." * QA's skull posse * The plug to my computer's speakers! 3. Some people lost their desks and chairs. In some cases they weren't labeled or labels fell off. When this happened I gave them something close to their old desk or something completely different depending on my mood. Overall though it's pretty awesome here and can only get more awesome as we have the time to make the space our own. Here's a picture of my very first desk at Harmonix (well my second, but close enough): Green Arrow: "The Enemy is Syphilis" lunchbox. I kept tea in it. Red Circle: Little lucky monkey stuck to the cube edge with blue tack. He came in my lucky monkey band-aid box. Yellow Arrow: My old PowerBook Blue Circle: My Amazing "Still Royal to the Loyal!" Crowns set list, signed by Jason "King" Kendall Hot Pink Heart: Link is soooo dreamy. That's a sweater on my chair. My cube was pretty much the coldest place in the whole office. EDIT: What you can't see is the GIANT t.v. and XBox set-up at the end of the cube. It was actually super
