Three Fratellis Hits Come to Rock Band

If the words "Costello Music" make you think of that guy with the hornrim glasses who sang "Pump It Up," then we're sorry to say you're a little out of touch. It was also the title of the first album by Scottish pop sensations the Fratellis, which endeared them right away to all the Brit-pop obsessives we know (The album title doesn't reference Elvis, but a favorite studio in Glasgow).
But you probably know one song in our three-pack even if you've never heard of the band: "Flathead" was on a TV commercial two years ago—you know, that commercial for that little MP3-player device in your pocket—so we're betting that its singalong hook had lodged into your brain by now.
The three most killer cuts from that debut album can all be found in this week's package: "Henrietta" and "Creepin' Up the Backstairs" find the band in a slightly harder mood, full of quick-fire rhythms and cheeky British humor. The band now has a second album out, and moved up from clubs to theaters on its most recent tour. And while we still love our classic rock and our metal, this week's three-pack is especially for those of you who prefer giddy hooks, youthful exuberance and "Ba-dah bap, da-dah!"
Get ready to rock with the best music school on the planet!

The drums in Creepin' Up The Backstairs are more fun than any song. The guitar is fun in all of them.

My first thought was "WHO?" I gave the previews a listen, took a chance, and got the three-pack.
WOW! Proof positive that a presence in Rock Band can lead directly to album sales, I picked up Costello Music and the new one (Here We Stand) today.
Not disappointed.

These are some great, catchy songs. Not just generic pop either, ala paramore. It's good stuff!

Holy crow, when are people going to realize that there is an entire forum AND a specific form on the site to suggest specific bands and songs instead of commenting about them. All commenting does on this page is get other users riled up that you're mentioning a band that goes against what they're mentioning and that everyone is just holding their hands on their rump hoping their wish is granted instead of GOING THROUGH THE RIGHT CHANNELS!!?
...and about the Fratelllis: nice. Not the tracks I had in mind, but nice to know that other people felt this fit somewhere in the very-wide, hit-or-miss spectrum of RB.

It's very frustrating to this WII owner to read about the new DLC announcements without being able to download them. When will we begin to have access on a regular basis?

Hey, I enjoyed all the Thin Lizzy songs last week, but I can hardly wait to get around to these (been busy with school so I don't have my Rock Band stuff with me). To me, these guys embody what I think the energy of Rock Band is, so it's great to see them in there.

I'm a huge fan of the fratellis! But I'm shocked they put them in rock band, it was definetly in my top 3 bands I never expected to be in here. But anyone who just enjoys having fun with their music with a tarton pop sound should give the songs a try, they're really fun!

When I read "Ba-dah bap, da-dah", that actually reminded me of Betty Boop. You know...
"Boop-boop-de-d- oop!"-
Nonetheless, good to always have another band added.

I rather costello than those boring songs. But that is about this game, have all rock generes for all tastes. I am wondering when is going to be available more of rob zombie, static X and Godsmack. Or a slipknot song.

Whilst not a massive fan of Fratellis, I think some more contemporary music from the more indie side of the rock spectrum is a good move. As much fun as it is to play a lot of the classic rock, sometimes its nice to just bash your way through something recent!
