Rock School: Lesson One: “Importance of Scales”

berklee01.jpg

The time to matriculate at Rock School has arrived! Pick up your axe—the real one, that is—and start acquiring your skills. Join us here every week for the latest video that we present courtesy of Berkleemusic, the online arm of Boston's world-renowned Berklee College of Music.

Yes, we know you want to play a ripping solo straight off the line, but you need to get the skills first. Guitar Department chair Larry Baione provides some words of wisdom and a painless introduction.

Wow! It's great that we're getting some free lessons. I will definitely take advantage of these.
I checked out their Guitar Chords 101, and it was pretty helpful...not to mention the fact that I really enjoyed the "interactive lessons", where you could practice along with a beat. =)
